There are many ways to create beautiful easter eggs and without making a big secret out of it, I've used Pinterest to quickly search for ideas. It didn't take long to fall in love with this marble-nailpolish-technique and those super easy tutorials shown all over the place. Determined to create the most beautiful marble-designed easter eggs, I quickly bought some eggs and some really nice nail polish colours.
To cut a long story short: My attempts didn't get any close to the stunning results shown on Pinterest :-). I didn't even manage to create the different colour layers on top of the water surface, despite making sure that my water had about room temperature. It's been either my mistake or the nail polish I've chosen weren't ideal, but I fear I just wasn't good at it. As fast as my excitement rushed in, it also rushed out and I got rid of my unfortunate designs in order to pursue a much easier method.
Here you go, an absolutely unspectacular and super reasonable way to create easter eggs without the messy part, as probably everyone owns an Edding pen or marker. I've simply lettered some quotes and drew some faces and hearts onto the egg et Voilá, you've created your easter decoration. Certainly not what I've initially planned, but an easy method, especially for all those last-minute-decorators amongst you :-).
